(Kauai) – Property owners are reminded that the deadline to apply for the re-certification of their ADU clearance form is Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Qualified landowners with valid building permits who have not reached substantial construction on their ADUs as well as those that intend to re-submit their building plans but have expired building permits are required to seek re-certification by the Feb. 17 deadline.
A $250 fee must be submitted with the application.
Property owners that have already constructed their ADUs do not need to apply for re-certification.
The certification forms and affidavits are available at the Planning Department counter at the Līhu‘e Civic Center, Kapulē Building and on their website, www.kauai.gov/planning.
