(Kaneohe)– Artist Esther Wilhelm will facilitate a workshop exploring healing through its expression in art on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The workshop will be held in Hale Pālanakila Art Studio 210. This workshop is FREE (parking is free, too) and open to the community. Materials for the hands-on art project will be supplied. Artist Esther Anne Wilhelm is a product of rape, was abused, abandoned, is living with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and most recently, was severely injured in a hit-and-run car accident. Today, Esther uses her art to share her story with others as a form of healing. Her artwork has been featured at the Honolulu Academy of Arts.
The event is co-sponsored by the WCC Sexual Violence Prevention Project in partnership with UH-Mānoa.
