(LIHUE) – The Hawaii Foodbank Kauai Branch is taking a stand against hunger in Hawaii with its 28th Annual Food Drive Day on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
“We hope to exceed the $2500 and 5,500 pounds that we collected last year” said Kauai Manager Wes Perreira. “We are grateful for the tremendous support we have received from community members on Kauai as we continue to serve those in need.”
Volunteers will accept monetary donations and food items, such as canned proteins, canned meals, canned vegetables and canned fruits, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following donation sites (Locations are subject to change):
- Big Save – Eleele
- Big Save – Koloa
- Big Save – Waime
- Safeway – Kapaa
- Safeway – Lihue
- Princeville Center
- Walmart
