(Kauai)– In its continuing effort to educate the public about waste diversion on Kaua’i, the county is offering another free “Road to Recycling” bus tour on Thursday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about all of the county’s waste diversion and recycling programs. Stops on the tour include: the Kekaha Landfill; Garden Isle Disposal’s recycling processing facility; Kaua’i Resource Center (KRC), and county administrative offices.
The tour, which begins and ends at KRC, is open to adult residents only. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
Covered shoes are required for safety purposes.
Lunch will be offered at The Grove Cafe at Waimea Plantation Cottages, with a set menu priced at $12 including tax and tip. A brown bag lunch is another option.

To arrange for special assistance or an auxiliary aid for the tour, please contact Yoshida at least one week before the tour.

Funding for the Road to Recycling tour bus series is provided by a state grant from the Deposit Beverage Container (HI-5) program.
