(Kauai)– In its continuing effort to educate the public about waste diversion on Kaua’i, the county is offering another free “Road to Recycling” bus tour on Thursday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about all of the county’s waste diversion and recycling programs. Stops on the tour include: the Kekaha Landfill; Garden Isle Disposal’s recycling processing facility; Kaua’i Resource Center (KRC), and county administrative offices.
The tour, which begins and ends at KRC, is open to adult residents only. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
Covered shoes are required for safety purposes.
Lunch will be offered at The Grove Cafe at Waimea Plantation Cottages, with a set menu priced at $12 including tax and tip. A brown bag lunch is another option.
