(Honolulu) – Capone’s Comedy Smash 6 brings its first Latino show to the Blaisdell Concert Hall, featuring “Last Comic Standing” winner Felipe Esparza and comedy legend Paul Rodriguez, March 3, 2018. Mark your calendars, as Capone’s once again delivers big laughs and the best comedians to Hawaii.
Raised in the projects in East L.A. full of gangs and danger, Esparza now sells out shows all over the country, finding comedy from his experiences. After working hard in stand-up and opening for top acts like Rodriguez, Esparza found a chance to shine on “Last Comic Standing,” winning the talent competition, in 2010. Stand up specials including “They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You” and TV appearances on NBC’s “Superstore” cemented his status as one of the funniest comedians around. Esparza’s newest stand-up special, “Translate This,” premiered on HBO in September.
Mexican-American stand-up comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez has delivered laughs on stage and screen for decades. He’s also a talented writer, director and producer. A pioneering comedian, Rodriguez is a featured performer in “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy,” which he also executive produced. Other film credits include “I’m Not Like That No More” (also featuring Esparza), Disney’s blockbuster hit “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” “Without Men,” and more.
Capone’s Productions’ Comedy Smash has brought the biggest comedians in the business to perform in Hawaii, year after year. The March 3 show is no exception.
