(Hawaii)– The Queen’s Medical Center has named three new directors.
Gregory Payne, RN, BSN has been named Director of the Emergency Department, Clinical Decision Unit, Bed Control, Discharge Lounge, Transfer Call Center and Patient Flow.
He isresponsible for oversight of the Emergency Department at Punchbowl and for the units previously mentioned, and for the development and implementation of programs to improve patient flow.
Payne previously served as Manager of The Queens Medical Center Emergency Department/CDU where he oversaw the management team for the combined departments. He has also served as Operations Manager and a Registered Nurse at Queen’s since 2008.
Payne received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Hawaii – Manoa.
Jill Slade has been named Director of Trauma Services.
She is responsible for oversight of the Trauma Program, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and Trauma Med/Surg/Tele Unit.
She previously served as Interim Trauma Program Manager of Trauma Services where she helped prepare for the American College of Surgeons Level 1 Trauma certification in August 2017. Slade has also served as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager. She has been with Queen’s since 1992.
Slade has a Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Executive Leadership Program, from the University of Hawaii – Manoa and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland.
Alexandra Wroe has been named Director of Care Coordination, Utilization Management and Clinical Documentation Integrity.
She is responsible for providing leadership in identifying, establishing and modifying an effective system of care coordination in all patient care areas. She is also responsible for programs, services and activities related to Case Management, Social Work, Utilization Management, Clinical Documentation Integrity and the Queen’s Care Coalition.
Wroe previously served as Manager, Case Management and Utilization Management Services at The Queen’s Medical Center. Prior to that, she served as Manager of Care Coordination at the Community Care Access Center (CCAC), in Ottawa, Ontario.
Wroe has an Executive Masters of Business Administration degree from The University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Laurentian University.
