(Kauai)– The County of Kaua’i Police Commission presented the department’s Officer of the Month recognition to Officer Anthony Morita at thePolice Commission meeting held at the Piikoi Building.
Officer Morita was assigned to investigate a specific group of individuals that were required by law to keep the courts updated on their whereabouts.
Officer Morita researched those in violation of this order and prepared the legal documents, which allowed the police department’s Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST) to locate and arrest these individuals.
FAST focuses on apprehending individuals that are considered to be a threat to our community, and this project was considered a high priority.
For his exceptional performance throughout this project, and his superior dedication to public service, Officer Anthony Morita is being recognized as the police department’s Officer of the Month.
