Double-Decker Bus Tours Honolulu City Lights in Style

(Honolulu)- – The AlohaBus rings in the holiday spirit with the return of its “Honolulu
Holiday Lights Tour 2012”. The open-topped double-decker bus will be decked out in twinkling Christmas lights while giving Oahu visitors and kama‘aina an exciting way to view the Honolulu City Lights this season.
From now until December 30, 2012, the nightly “Honolulu Holiday Lights Tour” will continuously run every 30-45 minutes between 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., picking up and dropping off riders at stops along Aloha Tower Marketplace, Ward Centers and Downtown Honolulu, including Honolulu Hale, site of the City’s magnificent Christmas tree and holiday displays. “It’s a jolly Christmas outing for the whole family, the best way to enjoy a view of the stunning Honolulu City Lights display,” said Frank Among, vice president of sales and marketing for Gray Line Hawaii/Polynesian Adventure Tours, which operates the AlohaBus.
“We encourage our passengers to hop off at Honolulu Hale, take their time exploring the magical Christmas displays with their keiki, and hop back on when they’re ready to leave.” Passengers will also be able to enjoy the spirit of the season by listening to the holiday music channel onboard through complimentary ear buds. General prices are $23 for adults, $15 for children (4-12 years), and free for children 3 and under. Kamaaina and military pricing, with valid identification, is available Mondays – Thursdays from now until December 20, 2012 at $15 for adults and $10 for children (4-12 years).

The entire Holiday Night Loop duration is approximately 2 hours with opportunities to hop on and off at any of the following locations: Buca Di Beppo, Honolulu Hale, Ward Warehouse, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Illikai Hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Eggs N Things, Duke’s Statue, Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, Hilton Waikiki Prince Hotel, Ohana Waikiki West, and the Aqua Palm Hotel. AlohaBus encourages riders to hop off at either of the two stops nearest the Honolulu Hale Area, located on Punchbowl Street, for a close up view of the Honolulu Hale and Civic Ground decorations and festivities.
