(Oahu)– Applications for three spots on the Honolulu Youth Commission are being accepted now at https://web1.hnl.info/youthcommission/. One commissioner will be selected by Mayor Rick Blangiardi, with the remaining commissioners selected by Council Members Augie Tulba and Radiant Cordero. The new commissioners selected will serve terms of two years, and will be filling positions for members whose terms come to an end on July 31, 2022. The last day to apply is July 20, 2022.
The Honolulu Youth Commission consists of fifteen members and provides those aged 14 to 24 with the opportunity to serve their community in one of the most dynamic and engaging levels of public government. These commissioners are from all across the island and will serve as voluntary advisors to the Mayor and City Council on issues important to youth and their communities.
Because this is an active commission, commissioners will be expected to attend at least one commission meeting per month. Additional commitment(s) may be necessary subject to the needs of the commission. For more information on the Honolulu Youth Commission visit https://www.honolulu.gov/yc.
