(HONOLULU) – Mayor Rick Blangiardi is calling on all O‘ahu residents to actively participate in the 2024 National Community Survey (NCS) of Honolulu Residents. This collaborative research effort, conducted in partnership with the National Research Center at Polco, aims to capture diverse opinions of O‘ahu residents on crucial topics, including the current quality of City services and what the City’s future priorities should be.
The survey, conducted in conjunction with the Office of the City Auditor of the City and County of Honolulu, plays a pivotal role in shaping the city’s future. Following the survey, the Office of the City Auditor compiles a comprehensive report that presents the findings of this extensive research.
Mayor Blangiardi expressed gratitude to the Office of the City Auditor for their unwavering commitment to this annual survey. He emphasized the significance of residents’ input in influencing decisions that impact the quality of life for everyone on O‘ahu.
The 32-question survey is conveniently accessible online at https://polco.us/HonoluluOP23, or by scanning the QR code below. Residents can respond online or download the Polco app for Android or iOS. Once they have answered the questions, residents will be asked to provide their ZIP code to confirm where they live. This allows the City to be sure they are hearing from each person only once and to see which general area of the city respondents live in. Responses will remain anonymous, and personal information will be securely stored by Polco.
Residents can choose to provide an email address to Polco, which will allow the City to easily contact them with future questions. This service is free to all residents. Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy—they only share anonymous, combined results. Participants’ individual data and votes are never shared.
Honolulu residents have until January 19, 2024 to participate in this very important survey.
