(Honolulu)—Honolulu Theatre for Youth has the perfect gift to RAP up your holidays! In anticipation of its January performances of “Rap’s Hawaii” based on the work of Rap Reiplinger, HTY is offering two packages ideal for holiday giving:
- The “Little Rap” Package, $60, includes two tickets to HTY’s production of “Rap’s Hawaii,” onstage Jan, 11-26, 2013, plus a choice of either DVD, “Rap: Hawaii’s Comic Genius” or “Rap’s Hawaii.”
- The “Bambucha Rap” Package, $120, includes four tickets to HTY’s production of “Rap’s Hawaii,” onstage Jan, 11-26, 2013, plus two DVDs, “Rap: Hawaii’s Comic Genius” and “Rap’s Hawaii.”

Once an HTY actor himself, Rap Reiplinger was unquestionably one of the most memorable comic writers in Hawaii. Since HTY premiered the stage version of Rap’s work in 2007, audiences have been begging for its return.
HTY performs “Rap’s Hawaii” at Tenney Theatre starting Friday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m., then plays Saturdays, Jan. 12, 19 & 26 at 4:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. American Sign Language-interpreted (ASL), Jan. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
