(Honolulu)– Each month, the Aloha ‘Āina Recycling Drives will be held at different schools throughout O‘ahu. Proceeds from the sale of the recycled materials will go to the host school.
A variety of recyclers will be on hand to collect specific unwanted items.
- Schnitzer Steel – all types of scrap metal, including bicycles
- T & N Computer Recycling – computers, game systems, CPUs
- ACCESS Management – confidential document shredding
- Interstate Batteries – all types of batteries, including car batteries
- RRR – paper, glass and plastic bottles, aluminum cans, newspaper and corrugated cardboard
- Goodwill – clothes, household items, etc.
- InTrade – printer and toner cartridges
- Refrigerant Recycling – used appliances
- Pacific Biodiesel – used cooking oil
The Aloha ‘Āina Recycling Drives will take a break during June and July and will start again in the fall. The next recycling drive will take place in August.
