(Hawaii)– Fans of the sci-fi epic Star Wars will want to get to Anaheim, CA this Thursday through Sunday by speeder bike, spaceship, dewback or car for massive convention known as Star Wars Celebration. The show will have all aspects of the Star Wars franchise present- from merchandise to video games to the next installment of the Star Wars film franchise, Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Celebration kicks off with a panel featuring the writer/director/producer of The Force Awakens, J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy. The Force Awakens is set to release this December and aims to launch the franchise into a bold new direction for a new generation. Poised to be the biggest film release this year, fans can hear from Abrams and Kennedy firsthand about the epic new beginning to the Star Wars Universe.
Another huge draw for fans will take place on Friday, with the panel debuting the latest Star Wars video game, Star Wars: Battlefront. Developers DICE will be on hand to reveal details on the upcoming title. Star Wars: Battlefront marks a return to the video game franchise loved by Star Wars fans around the world. This panel will showcase the reveal trailer for the game, slated to hit later this year.
There will be plenty fun for the kids as well. With panels on making your own droid art, young lightsaber training, and a panel regarding the hit animated show, Star Wars Rebels. The convention floor will host plenty of vendors, many with exclusives to the show. Disney Pin Trader fans will be happy to know that many of the vendors will have exclusive pins available only at the show. ThinkGeek is one of the vendors that will have an exclusive pin trader pin, as well as exclusive prints and apparel. Gentle Giant Ltd will be having exclusives as well, including a vintage style jumbo C-3PO figure based off of the classic animated series, Droids.
