(Hawaii)–A typical week of weather is in store for the islands. Summertime trade wind weather will prevail into the middle of next week as high pressure presides to the north of Hawaii, though it will weaken slightly through Monday evening.
Expect typical summer trade wind weather, plus windward and mauka showers with isolated showers making it over to leeward sides of the smaller islands. Most of the rain will occur during the nights and early morning hours, while daytime and evenings will be drier.
Wetter weather will be in store beginning Wednesday night and continuing into Saturday. Tropical moisture from the remains of what is currently hurricane Daniel is forecast to pass near the state, enough that some of it will likely get caught up in the trade winds and swept over the islands. The forecast calls for increasing showers beginning east on Wednesday, then becoming more widespread Thursday and Friday.
