(Hawaii)– Trade wind weather will persist this week, thanks to high pressure anchored to our north. Clouds and showers will favor windward and mauka areas, except for leeward Big Island areas which will see increased clouds and showers each afternoon and evening.
We should see highs in the mid 80s, and overnight lows in the mid 70s. Wind gusting to 25 mph each day.
Small craft advisories may be issued for the traditionally windier channels and waters sometime during the day Monday, and could be in effect all week.
Little change is expected through the week. Trade wind weather remains in the forecast, with clouds and showers favoring windward and mauka areas. As the weak upper low northwest of the islands moves farther away, slightly drier conditions will push in by midweek.
