(Kaneohe)– Featuring students in WCCʻs Hula ‘Ōlapa class under the direction of Kumu Sky Gora, and ‘Ōlelo–Hawaiian Language under the direction of Kumus Tuti Sanborn and Kalani Kuloloia. The program will begin with the oli “Kunihi Keahiakahoe” followed by a series of hula kahiko, or traditional hula honoring Pele, Kalakaua, and finally, the people. The Hawaiian Language 201 classes will sing the hymn, “E Leha Aku Au,” as well as a song composed by the class. The program continues with hula ‘auana, or modern hula, and ends with the hymn “Ho’onani.”
