(KAILUA) — Windward Oahu residents are in for a cultural treat as the popular “I Love Hula in Kailua” series continues on Sunday, Aug. 10, featuring Halau Hula Pa‘akea Wai Lehua with Kumu Hula Wanda Akiu. The Harold K.L. Castle Foundation sponsors the free hula series, which takes place one Sunday every month from 3 to 4 p.m. in the parking garage behind Longs/CVS in Kailua Town.
“We are proud to celebrate the cultural traditions of Hawaii with this free monthly hula series,” said Terry George, Harold K.L. Castle Foundation president and CEO. “We hope more Windward residents will attend these outstanding performances and learn more about the cultural expertise that exists right in the heart of the Kailua community.”
The “I Love Hula in Kailua” series will continue through the month of November with the following performances:

“I Love Hula in Kailua” has been running for more than two years and is a celebration of Hawaiian dance, music and culture. It is held most second Sundays each month from 3 to 4 p.m. on the ground floor of the Kailua parking garage near Longs/CVS in Kailua Town. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs, pick up food from their favorite Kailua eatery and sit back, relax and enjoy amazing hula and music in an intimate, relaxed setting.
