Second Saturday’s DiscoverArt provides opportunities for people of all ages to experience and learn about art. It’s also a showcase for artists to share their craft. Typical offerings include music, performance, demonstrations, mini-classes, craft displays, and make-and-take projects. Activities and venues change monthly, making DiscoverArt an organic, ever-surprising creative experience. Here’s a sampling of what’s happening January 14:

Creative Arts Experience’s Make-and-Take Projects
⋅ You bring the inspiration and creativity, we’ll provide the art supplies to make a 2017 New Year’s Journal – for yourself or a friend. Both book covers and pages may be decorated. A great activity for all ages.
Good Luck Wishing Wall
⋅ Get the Year of the Rooster off to a good start by selecting a good luck coin and leaving your good luck wish on the Wishing Wall at Louis Pohl Gallery (1142 Bethel Street).

Artists’ Garage Sale
⋅ The resident artists at the Artists’ Lofts are having a garage sale! Stop by and browse. You never know what you will find. Maybe some art supplies, materials, antiques, oddities, musical instruments or furniture. The sale takes place in the Mendonca Building Courtyard, 1126 Smith Street.
