(Oahu)– Rotary Club of Hawaii Kai’s annual Ducky Dash returns to Hawaii Kai Towne Center, sponsored in part by the Henry Kapono Foundation. The fundraiser supports Rotary’s local scholarships and community service in Hawaii. Enjoy the race, keiki activities and entertainment including Henry Kapono.
Before the Ducky Dash, adopt a rubber ducky to race in the marina for a chance to win prizes. Weekend adoption drives are scheduled on Sept. 28-29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Oct. 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Hawaii Kai Towne Center. Henry Kapono is scheduled to man a Ducky adoption station himself, on Oct. 6.
On race day, Oct. 12, join emcee Kimo Kahoano and listen to live entertainment from talented Hoku award-winning singer/songwriter Blayne Asing. Hoku award-winning and Grammy nominated musician Henry Kapono will also perform. Bring the family and enjoy keiki activities. Cheer on your duck and finish in the top 20 to win a prize.
The Blood Bank of Hawaii will also be on site to accept donations. Enjoy the day at Hawaii Kai Towne Center, visit a variety of great restaurants and shops, take in the view along the beautiful Marina Docks, and support Rotary Club of Hawaii Kai.
