(LĪHU‘E) – In observance of Statehood Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Aug. 21 along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, as well as the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools.
In addition, Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be closed on Statehood Day as well as all HI5 Recycling locations except for the Kapa‘a and Kīlauea redemption centers operated by Kaua‘i Community Recycling Services (KCRS). Please see www.kauai.gov/HI5 for location information. Please note the Kīlauea redemption center is now located at the rear of the facility near the Wai Koa Loop trailhead entrance.
The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Aug. 24.
