“It is my distinct honor to invite you to our career fair, where you’ll be able to speak with leaders from the city departments about positions that are available now,” said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. “There are so many reasons to join the city’s team, including generous paid time off, health insurance and retirement benefits, but most importantly you will be able to make a positive difference in our community. We are looking for employees from a variety of backgrounds and career stages. Whether you are a recent graduate, looking for greater stability, or considering a career change, this is an opportunity to shape your future in your community where you live, work and play.”
The City is especially proud to note that it is ranked in the top four in the Forbes’ annual list of “America’s Best Employers by State.” It is a huge recognition, especially in light of the on-going public health pandemic. People will be able to speak directly with representatives from the various city departments and agencies. More than 70 private sector employers with available job openings will also be in attendance and accepting resumes.
Attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination, wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Anyone who is not vaccinated or is not able to attend in-person may register online where they will be able to chat with employers from the in-person event.
