(LÎHU’E)– Also on the horizon are a football camp and a football combine for youngsters’ ages eight to 18.
The First annual Brian Derby Offensive Line Camp and Hawai’i Athletes in Action Foundation (H.A.I.A.) Combine are scheduled next weekend June 15 to June 17.
Pre-registration for the H.A.I.A. events are being handled online at www.haia808.org.
The football events will be held at Vidinha Stadium as follows:
- Friday, June 15, 4 to 4:45 p.m. – Registration/check-in for football camp and combine
- Friday, June 15, 5 to 6:30 p.m. – Derby Camp offensive line practice and H.A.I.A. College 101 Workshop for students in grades eight to 12 and parents
- Saturday, June 16, eight to 12 year olds
7 a.m. – Check in for football combine
8 a.m. – H.A.I.A. Combine
8:45 a.m. – Check in for Derby Camp
9 a.m. – Derby Camp group practice
10:30 a.m. – Lunch provided for participants
n Saturday, June 16, 13 to 18 year olds
8 a.m. – Check in for football combine
9 a.m. – H.A.I.A. Combine
10 a.m. – Check in for Derby Camp
10:30 a.m. – Derby Camp group practice and H.A.I.A. 7 on 7’s and defensive line work
11:30 a.m. – Derby Camp/H.A.I.A. “Battle in Da Trenches”: OLINE/DLINE and H.A.I.A. 7 on 7’s “Skilled Position”
12:30 p.m. – Awards ceremony and free lunch for participants
Although there is no charge to take part in these events, participants are asked to bring either two canned food items or a 10-pound bag of rice to assist the Kaua’i Independent Food Bank with their efforts to feed Kaua’i’s hungry.
