The City and County of Honolulu has been chosen by the prestigious National Association of Counties to take part in the Counties for Career Success (C4CS) initiative. The program is designed to provide post-secondary education, workforce development and human services opportunities across the public sector and with private employers. Participating counties will receive free technical assistance, advice from national experts, and peer learning opportunities. Over the next year, three experts from Honolulu will be tasked with developing an action plan that creates lasting impacts on local education and employment, with particular emphasis on reaching Pacific Islanders and other underserved groups. Honolulu’s representatives are:
- Leinaʻala Nakamura, Administrator of WorkHawaiʻi at the City’s Department of Community Services
