(KAPAʻA) – A water service shutdown has been scheduled on a portion of Hauaala Road (valley side) Makamaka Street and Keapana Road on Thursday, September 11 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The purpose of the shutdown is to allow the Department of Water (DOW) to perform a pressure reducing valve replacement on a waterline in the area.
Customers located in the affected area are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:
- Store enough water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
- Notify family, friends, tenants and neighbors.
- Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that their water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.
- Appliances that require water should not be used during the shutdown.
