(KAILUA)– The City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services (DTS) will be restricting parking in Lanikai between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Thursday, January 1st to Sunday, January 4th, 2026, in an effort to reduce traffic congestion for residents along the Lanikai-Kaʻōhao shoreline for the New Year weekend.
No parking will be allowed on all streets and shoulders of Mokulua and ʻAʻalapapa Drives in Lanikai starting January 1st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until January 4th.
Parking will also be restricted on cross-streets connecting Mokulua and ʻAʻalapapa Drives.
DTS will leave in place temporary “sawhorse” type signs on affected streets in Lanikai to warn drivers of the parking restrictions.
