(Honolulu) — The City and County of Honolulu’s Community Assistance Center (CAC) continues to provide critical support to residents affected by last week’s Kona low, assisting hundreds of individuals and families in need.
Since opening on Thursday, the CAC has served more than 400 residents, with the number of individuals entering the center continuing to grow each day.
The CAC offers a range of essential resources for those impacted by the storm, including medical assistance, replacement of vital records, driver’s licenses and state identification cards, housing support and management, and information on disaster assistance programs.
“Our priority is making sure every resident impacted by the storm knows they are not alone,” said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. “Through the Community Assistance Center, we are connecting people with the resources they need to recover.”
The CAC will continue operating daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Waialua District Park gymnasium and will remain open as long as services are needed.
Parking is available at Waialua District Park, with additional parking at Waialua Elementary School on weekends only. Visitors are advised to follow posted signage for parking and shuttle information.
