(Kauai)–Kauai residents in coastal areas and/or tsunami inundation zones are asked to evacuate immediately due to the tsunami warning. Anyone who does not need to evacuate is asked to stay off the roadways.
Holding areas are open at the following locations:
- Eleele School
- Kapaa Elementary School
- Kapaa Middle School
- Kapaa High School
- Kauai High School
- King Kaumualii Elementary School
- Koloa School
- Waimea High School
- Wilcox Elementary School
- Kilauea School
Holding areas will be able to provide temporary shelter and use of bathrooms through the duration of the warning period.
