(Honolulu)– Barack Obama was reelected for a second term as the 45th President of the United States Tuesday night over republican candidate Mitt Romney. Obama who was born at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In the local United States Senate race, U.S. Representative Maize Hirono with 62.60% of the vote defeated Governor Linda Lingle. Locally for the much anticipated race for Honolulu Mayor, Kirk Caldwell earned 53.93% of the vote beating Ben Cayetano who earned 46.07%. Below are some other election results from around Hawaii.
