(Kaneohe)– Windward Community College is reaching out to Windward area communities as part of the statewide initiative to bring Native Hawaiian scholarship opportunities to those who want to pursue a college education. The Scholarship ‘Aha is a series of free presentations bringing together all major funding opportunities for Native Hawaiians in one place:

Students and parents can network with experts helpful in securing financial aid and scholarships for Native Hawaiians and gain insight into the application process. Scholarship ‘Aha is free and open to the community. Dinner and refreshments will be provided.
“It opened my eyes to the huge support system that is available for Native Hawaiians by Native Hawaiians,” said Ilima Ho Lastimosa, WCC graduate and Hawaiian studies student at UH Mānoa who has attended previous Scholarship ‘Aha workshops.
