(Honolulu, HI) – Hawaiian Electric has expanded its outreach to the local small business community by offering two of its most popular energy conservation guides in both Japanese and Ilocano. The free Power to Save for Small Business andWays to Save at Work energy conservation guides include valuable tips to assist small businesses manage their energy and reduce their energy costs.
“We know our customers are looking for help managing their energy costs and there are members of our community who are more comfortable with their native language,” said Ka’iulani de Silva, Director of Education & Consumer Affairs at Hawaiian Electric. “These guides will help businesses evaluate their energy use, educate their employees and build energy awareness, and learn more about the energy cost of using certain appliances.”
Hawaiian Electric first translated the business-oriented guides into Korean last February. In addition, the company’s popular Power to Save and 101 Ways to Save guides for residential customer are available in Ilocano and Cantonese.
All of these free guides may be picked up at Hawaiian Electric’s customer service centers on Oahu, at 820 Ward Avenue and 900 Richards Street, or by calling 543-7511 to have a copy mailed. Copies may also be downloaded for free atwww.heco.com.
