(Maui)- – The Lahaina satellite office of the Division of Motor Vehicles and Licensing (DMVL) will remain open for business for the next couple of weeks, despite ongoing construction in the area.
The Lahaina DMVL will stay open until May 3, 2013 at its current location at the Lahaina Center off Front Street. After May 3rd, the office will relocate to the Lahaina Gateway Center.
“People have been confused about whether the Lahaina DMVL was going to stay open while construction is taking place at Lahaina Center,” said Maui County Communications Director Rod Antone. “Although the office will be moving in early May, we would like to assure the public that despite the construction, the office will remain open until May 3rd. DMVL customers may have to detour around certain construction areas to get to the office, but it is open for business until May 3rd.”
A number of DMVL forms are also available online, include: Vehicle Registration Renewal, Duplicate Registration/Title, Notice of Transfer, Bill of Sale, Bicycle/Moped Registration, and Change of Address. To view online forms, visit www.mauicounty.gov/DMVL and select “Electronic Forms.”
A news release will go out later this month to announce the opening date of the new DMVL satellite office at the Lahaina Gateway Center, located at 305 Keawe Street.
