Pukalani and Kula residents should call 878-2177; Pā’ia, Ha’ikū and Makawao residents should call 298-2393 by Jan. 1 to schedule pickup. Participants are asked to make checks payable to “Rotary Club of Upcountry Maui,” and to set the tree out on the curb before 8 a.m. on the day of pickup (to be determined during phone call).
Important tree recycling tips:
Since the trees will be processed into compost, all decorations should be removed, including tinsel and other materials.
Trees cannot be taken to community centers, recycling centers, or dumped in parking lots. The public is asked for their cooperation and kōkua. For more recycling information email recycle.maui@mauicounty.gov, or call the Recycle Maui County Hotline at 270-7880.
