(HANAMĀ’ULU)– The public is invited to attend a meeting next week and provide input on a feasibility study regarding the potential access routes to the proposed landfill and resource recovery park on Ma‘alo Road.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School in Hanamā’ulu.
A presentation will be made on the preliminary findings of the traffic and roadways engineering feasibility study (TREFS), which analyzed several potential access routes and their impact on traffic, site improvements and related costs, as well as their social impacts.
The TREFS is being conducted in response to public input during the initial phase of the EIS process when concerns were raised regarding the impact of the potential access routes.
