(HONOLULU) — The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Environmental Services (ENV) announces that all refuse convenience centers, transfer stations, and the Waimānalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill reopened to the public on Sunday, March 22 following closures due to severe weather conditions. Days and hours of operation for each facility can be viewed at www.honolulu.gov/env/ref/waste-drop-off-locations/.
Curbside Collection
Regular curbside refuse collection for Waialua will resume on Monday, March 23. Collection of gray carts that was missed on March 20 and 21 will be made up, and residents in the affected areas are advised to leave gray refuse carts curbside until collection is completed.
Collection in all other areas will continue as scheduled.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updates at honolulu.gov/env, follow ENV on social media and sign up for notifications through HNL Alert.
