(Kauai)– – In response to community input, the Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division is offering a bus tour of the proposed site for the new landfill and resource recovery park located about a mile north of Hanamâ’ulu off Ma‘alo Road.
The tour is scheduled on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
If more than 40 people sign up, a 2 p.m. tour will also be offered.
The buses will leave the Lîhu’e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building promptly at the designated times. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to boarding the bus.
To sign up for the bus tour, please contact the Solid Waste Division at 808-241-4837 or afraley@kauai.gov by Friday, Feb. 8.
