(Honolulu)– The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) announces the temporary relocation of bus stops along Kālia Road, due to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Kālia Road Repair Project.
Construction for the Kālia Road Repair Project will begin on Tuesday, March 18th and will last until November 7th.
The following TheBus routes will no longer service stops along Kālia Road, and will instead detour along Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalākaua Avenue:
- Route E
- Route 20
- Route 42
- Route W1
- Route W2
- Route W3
Bus stops located along both Kālia Road and Saratoga Road will be temporarily relocated to the following locations:
Eastbound:
- Ala Moana Boulevard after Kālia Road/ʻEna Road intersection
- Kalākaua Avenue at the intersection of Olohana Street (only Route E will serve this stop)
Westbound:
- Ala Moana Boulevard after the Kālia Road/ʻEna Road intersection
DTS appreciates the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ efforts to create a smoother, safer roadway for residents, visitors, and employees of the Waikīkī community.
