(Hawaii)– Outstanding University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa faculty members will be recognized for their inventive approaches to educating students at the 2023–24 Innovation and Impact Showcase (IIS).
“Meaningful learning requires learners to be involved intentionally, actively, cooperatively and authentically,” said Professor Rachel Mamiya Hernandez, a 2023-24 IIS awardee. “These days, it is crucial that we focus on the transformative potential of our educational approaches and how we can shape learning through the experiences we create and the connections we help our learners make.”
Eight awardees from departments across the UH Mānoa campus will be applauded at the IIS ceremony in October 2024. The goal of IIS is to celebrate faculty members and create a repository of their innovative approaches and educational materials in an effort to inspire and provide resources to a broader audience.
