(Maui)– The County of Maui, Department of Parks and Recreation Aquatics Division will be offering free Learn to Swim Classes at the Up Country Aquatic Center and the Kokua Pool.
Registration at the Up Country Aquatic Center will be held on Aug 25, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for Sundays when the pool will be open from noon to 4:30 p.m. Participants must register in person with Pool Guard Stacy Dugan-Wood.
All Up Country Aquatic Center classes will be held from September 8 to October 19 at various days and times depending on the type of class:
- Parent-toddler swim classes are on Friday’s from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
- Level one swimmers classes are on Saturday’s from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
- Level two swimmers classes are on Sunday’s from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.
- Level one swimmers classes are also held on Monday’s from 3 to 3:45 p.m.
Registration at the Kokua Pool begins on August 29 and again on September 5, both days from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants must register with Pool Guard Stacy Dugan-Wood at the Kokua Pool as well. Two classes are offered every Thursday afternoon, from September 12 to October 17:
- Adult Learn to Swim class from noon to 1 p.m.
- The level one swimmers class from 3 to 3:45 p.m.
