(Kauai)–The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk reminds individuals that the last day for new voters to register to vote in the General Election is Monday, October 8, 2012.
Completed voter registration forms must be turned in to the Elections Division by 4:30 p.m. Due to the Discoverers’ Day federal holiday on October 8, 2012, applicants who choose to mail their voter registration form are urged to have it postmarked by Saturday, October 6, 2012.

All persons must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Hawai‘i and at least 18 years old to vote. Currently registered voters that have changed their name or moved since the last election should re-register before the voter registration deadline.
The General Election is on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
