(Honolulu)–Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is pleased to announce the addition of its first-ever vodka seminar, Exploring Vodka & Vodka Based Cocktails featuring Tony Abou-Ganim, The Modern Mixologist and author of Vodka Distilled.
Once called “the poster boy for modern mixology” by Mario Batali, Abou-Ganim is widely regarded as one of the pioneering and leading bar professionals in the world. He has been mastering the traditional art of mixology modern for more than 30 years. He has developed cocktail programs for the 22 bars of the Bellagio Las Vegas, as well as Harry Denton’s Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, where he developed his first cocktail menu featuring original recipes for Sunsplash, Starlight, and his most famous of all, the Cable Car. Whether behind the bar or in front of an audience, Abou-Ganim is as entertaining as he is informative.
Join the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival for this excellent opportunity to learn more about America’s most consumed spirit. Discover the subtle nuances that distinguish a rye based vodka form one distilled from corn. Learn how different potato vodka is from those produced from grain or grape, and which vodka works best in a Bloody Mary, Cosmopolitan or simply straight up with a twist of lemon.
