(Oahu)– The Hawai‘i State Art Museum (HiSAM) is looking for enthusiastic art lovers to be volunteer docent guides.
The four-month training session begins in early October, 2015 and ends in February, 2016. Docents will learn to give informative and interactive tours focusing on the works of art on display in HiSAM exhibitions. Each artwork belongs to the Art in Public Places Collection, a part of the Hawai`i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. The collection includes pieces from Hawai`i’s many fine artists, and is primarily focused on modern and contemporary art (1960 to the present).
