(Honolulu)- – Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it will waive reservation change fees and differences in fares for customers who need to change their travel plans because of Winter Storm Nemo. Effective immediately, customers holding tickets issued on or before Wednesday, February 6, 2013 for travel on Hawaiian this Friday, February 8, and Saturday, February 9, between the U.S. East Coast (including travel connecting in the U.S. East Coast) and Hawai‘i, will be permitted to change their reservations without charge to flights departing on or before Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
All change fees and applicable difference in fares will be waived provided that changes are made prior to the departure time of the originally scheduled flight and are made in the same class of service (i.e., Coach to Coach or First to First), based on seat availability and subject to the restrictions noted above. Flight changes must be made by Hawaiian’s personnel in its reservations department or at the airport. Normal refund rules will apply. Customers needing assistance should call Hawaiian’s reservations department at the toll-free number 1-800-367-5320.
Hawaiian’s Flight 50 from Honolulu to JFK on February 8 and Flight 51 from JFK to Honolulu on February 9 are currently expected to operate on schedule. However, the departure times for both flights may change, depending on the weather conditions resulting from Winter Storm Nemo. Customers holding tickets for these two flights are advised to check Hawaiian’s website, www.HawaiianAir.com, for any updates before leaving for the airport.
