(North Shore)–The much awaited Wanderlust Festival kicked off Thursday at Turtle Bay Resort to the delight of thousands of local and international yoga enthusiasts.
The four-day festival, which runs until Sunday, combines yoga, music and surf for an estimated 2,000 participants from all over the world and it is billed as one of the most prestigious festivals for meditation-minded and spiritual athletes.
As guests of Turtle Bay Resort checked in on Thursday evening, it was very apparent who was here for the festival as many guests brought their yoga mats along with their luggage, all of them smiling and visibly excited to be here.
The festival brings together the world’s leading yoga teachers, top musical acts and DJs, renowned speakers, top chefs and winemakers, and much, much more — all in a setting of breathtaking natural beauty. ” We’re talking about fun in the sun and dancing under the stars. Hiking on peaceful trails and gettin’ your down dog on at the top of the mountain. Sipping poolside cocktails with your friends, and then enjoying a tasty farm-to-table dinner with views of the surrounding mountain peaks,” said Wanderlust co-founder Jeff Krasno .
The event includes early morning meditations and all-night chakra spinning musical performances – it’s an all-out ecstatic celebration in inspirational locations such as Oahu’s North Shore.
