(HONOLULU)—Mayor Rick Blangiardi has requested that Honolulu Hale be lit in gold from sundown on Monday, May 12, 2025, through sunrise on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, to commemorate Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.
Observed throughout May, Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month honors the rich history, culture, contributions, and achievements of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
The lighting of Honolulu Hale serves as a powerful symbol of respect and appreciation for the vital role that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and all Pacific Islanders continue to make in our communities in the City and County of Honolulu each and every day.
