(Honolulu) – The Queen’s Medical Center announces its first service to open at The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu. The Queen’s Imaging Physician’s Office Building (POB) – West O‘ahu will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 and begin accepting patients. The center will provide x-ray and ultrasound services.
“We are pleased to be able to bring these much-needed services to our West O‘ahu neighbors and look forward to continuing to provide more quality healthcare to this vibrant, fast growing community when our hospital opens in spring 2014,” said Susan Murray, Senior Vice President of The Queen’s Health Systems, West O‘ahu Region, and Chief Operating Officer of The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu.
The Queen’s Imaging POB – West O‘ahu, located on the first floor, will be accepting patients Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. X-ray services are available on a walk-in basis, while ultrasound patients will require an appointment. Imaging patients can make an appointment by calling (808) 691-3663. There is ample free parking available on campus and the ground floor location makes it easy for patients to access the facility.
Located on the former Hawaii Medical Center (HMC) West campus, The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu is scheduled to open in spring 2014.
Queen’s officially acquired HMC West from St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii on Dec. 14, 2012. The campus was then named The Queen’s Medical Center – West O‘ahu.
