(Oahu) — As part of its participation in this year’s Aloha Festivals celebration, Island Air, Hawaiʻi’s affordable alternative for interisland travel, will waive bag-check fees on the first checked bag for all travelers wearing a 2015 Aloha Festivals ribbon.
The special value offer, which coincides with the airline’s 35th anniversary of service to the Hawaiian Islands, is good throughout the month of September on all Island Air flights between Oʻahu, Maui and Lānaʻi.
Island Air is proud to support Hawai‘i’s traditions and culture and will be present at the Aloha Festivals Keiki Ho‘olaule‘a, which takes place at Pearlridge Center on Saturday, Sept. 12. In addition, Island Air will participate in the Aloha Festivals floral parade on Saturday, Sept. 26. The Island Air trolley will be staffed and decorated by employees. This is the first time in many years that Island Air has joined in the parade.
As the state’s affordable alternative airline, Island Air takes seriously its commitment to partnering with and bringing value to the community. “We are grateful and honored to have been such an integral part of Island life for the past 35 years,” said Dave Pflieger, CEO for Island Air. “Our participation in local events and the offer of special savings are some of the ways that Island Air demonstrates its commitment to serving kama‘aina and visitors with an affordable, quality travel experience and excellent customer service.”
