(Waikiki)– Island Vintage Organic & Natural is now open on level 2 of Building C at Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki. In addition to offering an array of Hawai‘i-made food items, organic skincare lines and nutritional supplements, the store also features healthy made- to-order acai bowls boosted with spirulina and collagen, hearty salads, soups, smoothies and more in its casual dining café.
The 690-square-foot store complements its adjacent sister store, Island Vintage Coffee, a popular coffee shop overlooking The Royal Grove.
“As a Royal Hawaiian Center tenant, we have enjoyed our prime location and are pleased to grow our business here with this new store and café,” said owner Paul Kang. “To meet our customers’ needs, we added healthy dining options and more local products. Our dishes and smoothies are made in-house with fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables.”
“It’s wonderful to see local merchants such as Paul succeed and expand their business here at the Center,” said Marleen ‘Akau, general manager. “Their ‘ono (delicious) meals and organic, high-quality products from across the state encourage sustainable living, and will appeal to both visitors and kama‘aina alike.”
Open for breakfast and lunch until 3 p.m. daily, the café features popular dishes including the Farmers Salad for $11.95 or Turkey Avocado Sandwich which comes with an organic green salad, fruit salad or taro chips for $9.95.
The store offers organic and natural foods such as 100% Kona coffee and honey from Hawai‘i Island, Moloka‘i sea salt, acai powder and Maui tea. Customers can indulge in bath and beauty products made with kukui and macadamia nut oil, goat’s milk, noni, lavender and raw honey.
“We hope to provide all our customers with natural products that will help not only cosmetic, but also inner health and beauty,” Kang added.
