(Honolulu)– Atlantis Adventures announced that Imran Hamid has been appointed as Cruise Manager for its Oahu tour experiences offered by Atlantis Navatek Cruises.
With its state-of-the-art Navatek I cruise vessel, Atlantis Navatek Cruises offers daily sunset dinner cruises, along with daily seasonal whale watch breakfast and lunch cruises during winter. Hamid is responsible for directing the food service and entertainment and education program that guests enjoy with their cruise experience.
Hamid comes to Atlantis well prepared for his new role, having accrued more than 15 years of restaurant management experience in Hawaii and California.
He most recently served as Manager at Brown’s Beach House Restaurant at The Fairmont Orchid resort on Hawaii Island. Before that he served as Manager for the Kenichi Pacific restaurants in Kona and Mauna Lani on Hawaii Island, and as Manager of Café O‘Lei in Kihei, Maui.
“We are very pleased to welcome Imran Hamid as our new Cruise Manager. His extensive background in running restaurants will make the dining experience aboard Navatek I even more enjoyable for our guests as they glide over the water and take in the spectacular ocean and island views,” said Mark Almaraz, Waikiki General Manager of Atlantis Adventures.
The 140-foot Navatek I offers Hawaii’s smoothest cruise experience, the result of its double-hulled design that lifts the passenger compartment above the ocean’s surface and limits wave action against the vessel. It is the only cruise vessel of its type in Hawaii and has been hailed by FORBES as “reinventing the boat.”
Navatek I comfortably seats 300 guests and offers spacious upper and lower outdoor observation decks and two carpeted, air-conditioned dining rooms that are lined with picture windows from end-to-end to take in the panoramic views of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Oahu’s south shore, while enjoying a beautiful Hawaiian sunset.
Each evening starting at 5:30 p.m. Atlantis Navatek Cruises offers a two-hour sunset cruise along East Oahu’s scenic shoreline between Waikiki Beach and Koko Head that features a delicious dinner and live entertainment.
In addition, between December and April, Atlantis Navatek Cruises offers breakfast and lunch whale watch cruises allowing guests to see humpback whales that have migrated from the chilly North Pacific to the warmth of the waters around the Hawaiian Islands to breed and nurse their young.
