(Oahu)– The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii is throwing a big year birthday bash on Saturday, February 4th, from 2pm to 6pm to kick off our year long celebration of serving the community for the past 5 years. This free event will include live entertainment and food trucks, as well as carnival rides and games, prizes, live art and exclusive giveaways. Everyone is welcome as we show our appreciation for the continual support in making Kroc Center Hawaii such a unique gathering place for families and friends. The 200,000 sq. ft. Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is the largest community center of its kind in Hawaii and opened on February 1, 2012. The center features a 500-seat worship and performing arts center; a 21,000 sq. ft. education & resource center, which includes 4 multi-use classrooms, a youth game room, and a 7,532 sq. ft. conference facility; a 14,000 sq. ft. fully equipped fitness center; an aquatic center featuring a 25yd x 35m competition pool, a lazy river, a leisure pool and an interactive splash pad and water play structure; an NCAA regulation gymnasium; a 40-bed dormitory for traveling teams and overnight conferences; a 100-student preschool and a 3-acre grassed park for youth programming and outdoor sports activities.
