(Makaha)– Makaha Learning Center (MLC) invites all local Oahu residents who aspire to a career in the construction industry to apply for its upcoming Aloha Construction Foundations Program class. This program offers a unique approach to building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth, combining an 80-hour core construction class with guided study in Aloha.
The Aloha Construction Foundations Program is designed to provide a tailored pathway into the skilled-trade workforce and address personal foundation as enthusiastically as it builds capacity. The program lays a multidisciplinary foundation for students seeking a career in the construction industry while strengthening their personal and cultural foundation through the practice of Aloha.
“We are excited to announce the opening of applications for the April-July 2023 class of the Aloha Construction Foundations Program,” said MCL President, Danielle “Duckie” Irwin. “This program is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to jumpstart their career in the construction industry and simultaneously deepen their cultural foundation through the practice of Aloha.”
The program is open to all individuals aged 16 and up who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. The program’s core construction class will run for 80 hours, with a guided study in Aloha, and students will be able to complete the program in just three months. Upon completion, students will see their opportunities to enter any construction discipline multiply thanks the teachings of the program.
The class will start on April 1st and run until July 15th, with sessions held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. To ensure that students receive personalized attention, the program has a limited class size. Therefore, interested individuals are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
